On page 41, Parvana and her mom are trying to get thier dad out of prison. How come the guards won't let them get their dad/husband out of the prison if he didn't do anything wrong? Why won't they even let them see him? Did they have to beat Parvana and her mom up? I think they could have just told them to go away. The Taliban have no real reasons on why they do this. It just doesn't make any sense too me. Do you have any ideas why?
Name: Natalie Date: 2/5/13 Page Number: 38 Response: On page 38, Parvana and her mom are not allowed to go on the bus without a man with them. Why do woman's have to go on a bus with a man? Woman's can go on the bus by themselves. It's not like they are kids right? Woman's have rights to go on the bus by themselves. I think it's not fair. What about you guys? What do you think?
Name: Charmaine Date: 2/5/13 Page Number: 38 Response: On page 38-39, Parvana had to go with her mother to find her father. What I don't understand is: Why does Parvana have to go with her mother, instead of Nooria going with her mother? The following 2 questions are not related to the first one, but they are related to each other. Why do they have to treat women so badly? Why can't women have the same rights as man? Why was it so unfair?

On page 40, Parvana's mom didn't say anything and just show them the photograph and it was illegal to have photographs. Why are they not allow to have photographs and why is it illegal? Why didn't Parvana's mom say anything when she was showing the photograph to those group of men?
